Isolation
Stables
For
the protection of all horses on the yard, every new livery is required to spend
their first week in our isolation stables located at the top of the yard. There
is a sand paddock just opposite and the horses are allowed to use the yard's facilities
providing they don't come in direct contact with the other horses.
We're sure
you would agree that with so many horses at Harold's Park Farm, this is a wise
precaution. All horses are fully vaccinated against flu, tetanus, herpes and join
our worming programme.
Stables
We
have two interconnecting barns that house 80 stables.
Every stable includes its
own storage areas/rooms which can be padlocked if you wish, located at the rear
measuring approximately 10' x 3', ample room for tack, straw and feeds etc.
At
the front of each stable, there is a blackboard where you can chalk any straw
or carrots you wish to buy from the farm for the week.
Claydon Horse Walker & Solarium/Heat Lamps
For
your convenience, we have a horse walker located at the rear of the stables with
convenient access from both barns. Whether under vets advice and remedial or simply
allowing your horse to stretch their legs for 20 minutes while you muck out, our
liveries find this facility and enormous asset.
If
you've just returned from a good hack-out, you've washed your horse down and you
want to dry them off quickly, for your convenience we have installed a coin-operated solarium/heat
lamp facility.
Indoor/Outdoor Schools/Arenas
They all have sand and rubber chipped surfaces. The indoor arena is 50yards x 20yards, and the outdoor arenas are 60metres x 45metres and 45metres x 20metres.
There is a grass arena for liveries use.
We have two 15metre x 15metre fenced sand areas where horses can be left to roll and enjoy the fresh air.
Lunging is allowed on the grass and in the larger of the two outdoor schools.
There
is also a cafe serving hot and cold snacks and drinks at show times only. The
cafe looks both directly into the indoor arena and across to the outdoor schools
where contestants can warm up for the contests.
